This is a very old recipe that calls for 6 to 8 hours of cooking. That might be too long for today's faster cookers.
1 pound of round steak (probably other cuts will do, as well)
1/2 clove of garlic
1/4 cup of oil
1-1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 cup of tomato sauce
1 cup of beer
Rub steak with garlic on both sides.
Cut into serving portions and dredge with flour
Heat oil in a skillet and brown meat on both sides.
Season meat with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker.
Saute onions in skillet and pour over meat, along wth tomato sauce and beer.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. (Adjust for your own cooker's performance.)

****************************We've used beer and catsup as a marinade, towel off and grill. Fantastic!

sounds great, thanks, always looking for something new to make in the slow cooker on these super cold days.
