Well, THAT was not a fun ride in! Never cracked over 20 mph even w/ 4WD.
The roads are a mess, plows all called in sick I guess. We are getting 1.5 inches per hour. Last night it started with misty rain that was freezing to my windshield as I drove home.
We capped that off with heavy snow the rest of the night and it is suppose to continue till tonight.
@ChiliPepper The weather map showed you were getting sleety rain?
Hope everyone is safe!!!

How very interesting! Thank you for that link. I love learning new things! Although, I think I will pass on the Seaweed Salad recipe listed! LOL
I have had recipes that called for a dark soy sauce...which I have never found. I think the flavor of Tamari sounds much more balanced than soy!
Did you buy it in a grocery store or specialty store. I am sure Amazon has it....
Wegman's item search showed they carry Eden Tamari in the Nature's Marketplace section....that's the one I never go into! LOL It got one bad review saying too salty and they much preferred the San-J Organic Tamari like you use.

Wow, I'm glad you made it into work safe & sound. Do you have far to go? Be safe my friend!
Well, we got 6 - 8 inches of snow last night & this morning it is pouring rain, absolutely pouring. I had to shovel in the rain because I had to clear the car off & the snow was way too heavy to drive through. It's all gonna turn to an icey, snowy mess this afternoon so the ride home will not be fun.
A major worry is how heavy the snow on the trees & power lines is. I hope it doesn't take them down & folks loose power.
Man, we are making up for the lack of snow earlier in the season. My body aches from shoveling. S u c k s getting old LOL!!!

Aww, dang, @ChiliPepper
Your poor aching back! (((CHILI))) I'm sorry for you. I don't have to shovel luckily.
I live about 10 - 12 mins from work. 1 traffice light, all back country roads. Today it was a full half hour but there weren't many cars out. It was just that lousy.
It hasn't stopped all day. The guys are all off today. Can't work. I feel bad for their paychecks. No work, no pay.
One of the guys is suppose to come in and plow...we have barely had to dig out the plows only once or twice b4.
Office is so quiet....

Miss you! You okay???? (((MTC)))
Miss you too, today!! You ladies okay?
Glad to see @VaBelle35 and @Honeybit and @novamc1 posted yesterday and today....
Must account for the safety of all our Chefs in the Kitchenette SOUP thread!!

Well, it's better out there now on the main roads at least. It is a beautiful, sunshiny, snowy day! Now, there is a JOYOUS point of view!
I found a CD in my lunch bag from a great group named FEE...so I am having a HAPPY DAY blasting my music and singing at the top of my lungs!

Hi @RespectLife and everybody . . . I think this is just going to be a quiet week for me. Between H&R Block and my 401k I'm just having a couple of bad days plus I can't get a call back for a job interview if I set myself on fire.
It'll get better . . . it always does . . . ![]()

AWWW @momtochloe
I'm so sorry this is a stink-a-roonie week for you. Hugs and prayers and MORE prayers for you. I understand....Hang in there, sweetie pie! We are here for you....and as long as we know you have no weapons or matches....we won't worry. We will just wrap loving arms around you!
You don't have to talk...just read....I'll babble enough for the both of us.

Hang in there @momtochloe It will get better.
re Tamari
I buy the Eden brand at Wegmans. I think it's fine, but it's the only brand I ever buy so I have nothing to compare it to. It tastes like soy sauce to me. And, FTR, never replace coconut aminos with soy sauce. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME no matter what the Paleo Elite say.
re Weather
It was a good call to let the snow melt. The sun has been out since about 1 and it's about 50. Everything is melted and pretty much washed away now. I was able to run out and pick up my dress pants from the tailor. I guess I have no excuse but to go to cycle class tonight.
All of my meeting, except 1, cancelled today so I got a lot of work done. Maybe I can finish up on Friday when I'm back in the office.
I have 2 days of meetings in a hotel coming up. I don't think any of my work crushes are at this meeting, but I haven't seen the full invite list.

Oh mtc, I'm sorry.
Hang in there my Friend! You are WONDERFUL!!! Somehow, we need to get the word out & they'll all be fighting over you!
Hugs my Friend!
