Hey @momtochloe ...my debate buddy! I was thinking of you last night!
Did you watch? I forgot all about it until my DS texted me some comments. There I was sitting watching the original Halloween and Q ! Oops! That original version w/ Jamie Lee Curtis as a teen still gives me the heebie jeebies! My DS scolded me! LOL I switched right over and watched the rest....then caught the replay in the week hours.
No political talk allowed unless they are eating SOUP....
was just wondering! Don't want us to get a slap from the moderators!

@RespectLife I'll be honest, the debate gave me a headache. I think I may just skip the next couple and regroup.
@VaBelle35 how did your appointment go?
As for what am I going to cook this weekend, I may take a run at that Japanese chicken . . . or I may take a run to McDonald's . . . ![]()

@mustang66lady do you happen to have a GFS store by you? I just got this in an email a minute ago and thought of you:

so drooling for those cookies...
What is GFS?

mtc,
I'm like Respect, what is a GFS store? The cookies look amazing. Have you had these before? Don't know if they have one of these stores in St. Louis or not, but I know there is no store in my immediate area. You have to remember, you live in a big city, and I live outside the largest country "town" in the U.S.A.! If there is not a baseball game going on downtown, the sidewalks are rolled up at 5! The big stores take awhile to migrate inland and to the middle! We just got an IKEA earlier this month.

Hey Ladies!!! No debate for me, I fell asleep.
I'm making chicken gnocchi soup. I may just make a combo of this recipe & the chicken pesto recipe Respect is talking about.
Also, have some pork chops to do up. I think I'm gonna try Crock Potting them.
Probably try a version of Aunt Bertie's scalloped potatoes also.
Oh, & I am making David's cranberry apple sauce. I was going to do it today in the medium Crock Pot but I didn't have an orange & I didn't feel like going to the store last night in the rain & wind.
Anddddddddddd...... I have a hankering for chili!

GFS (formerly known as Gordon Food Service) is a restaurant supply chain that is open to the public. They have great stuff albeit in bigger quantities but I buy my half and half and sour cream from them (even if I have to pitch some of the sour cream it is the best I have ever had).
They have everything a restaurant would use including huge pans of all sorts of already cooked food, great if you are having a party. Just pop it in the oven to heat.
Good frozen veggies, appetizers, just all sorts of interesting things.
Here is the store locator so you can take a look if they are close to you:

I personally don't think I have ever purchased these particular cookies but I have ever been disappointed in anything I have bought there.
Please know I don't believe the cookies come decorated but they are also featuring their frostings and decorations . . . ![]()

Good morning everyone. I got to watch the debates late...dvr'd it and watched before bed so I stayed up too late last night. LOL I'll pay for that this afternoon with a slump and will likely be in bed before 9 tonight.
@momtochloe Never heard of potato starch...my 1st thought was how starchy the water is after boiling potatoes but I knew that was worng.
We're supposed to get lots of rain on Saturday...anyone else expecting bad weather for Hallowe'en? Do you gets lots of kids in your areas?
