Awww @mustang66lady I am sorry about your GS game.  It;s always so tough when you don't have the outcome you were hoping for.

So glad you are home safe and sound.  Goodness that traffic conditions sounded dreadful!  I can't remember the last time we had cars all over the place like that (we had bad/lack of plowing but luckily no accidents).

How was your fritatta?  What did you put into it?  I have zero eggs in the house so I need to shake my tailfeathers and get myself to the store this week for sure.

Have a good, safe and warm evening my friend!

@momtochloe

This is a beginner league for these kids.  The problem is, when they have practice (which is twice a week) they only have a 1/4 of a gym for practice.  DH is the coach and we don't live in the area this team is located in.  Next year, if DH is still coach, he is going to seek out other places to practice in, giving the team a more realistic practice time and space.

It was surreal seeing all the cars off the road.  It just have happened early in the day, before more traffic was out.  I'm sure the tow trucks are still out at this hour.  Thankfully we are still just a tad above freezing.  That will help things a lot.

I just started making frittatas.  I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination.  I just kind of cleaned out my frige.  I used 8 eggs, about a 1/4 cup of half and half, blanched broccoli, red, yellow and orange bell peppers, and a tad bit of green onions chopped.  I also used about a cup of cheese, and some bacon bits.  Baked in an iron skillet at 400 degrees about 1/2 an hour (until a knife inserted in the middle came out clean).   I think you could add about any veggie, meat, and cheese you think sound good together.   Served with some salsa to pour over the top.  Both DH and I were happy with the results.  Good way to use up some bits of this and that, that are too much to throw away and yet not enough to make anything else out of.  We still have half the frittata left, so will warm up as needed.

Hee @mustang66lady it's cloudy here too and I'm waiting to see what shows up tonight in terms of rain/sleet/snow.  The forecast has changed so much even by the hour I stopped checking and started counting my blessings that no matter what it ends up being I don't have to drive in it.

I just got off the phone with Comcast.  After 45 minutes, my cable guide has been restored and they thanked my for bringing it to their attention.  I did resist the urge to tell them no problem I have you guys on speed dial as after my FTD experience I would never even remotely snark at a CS rep (plus she was super, super helpful and I look forward to receiving their email survey so I can gush even more about what a great asset she is to the company).

@momtochloe

I could not be more lazy today if I tried.  Every time I let the furbabies outside, they don't play-get their business done and back inside asap.  I might watch the news at 5 or 6 just for the weather but honestly, if it is colder, wetter and worse than now, I don't want to hear it.  I am so done with winter and I sure understand why folks retire in the south and south west.

What are you feasting on today?   I plan on leftover pizza for my dinner tonight.   Living life large!  Woman LOL

@mustang66lady today is another chapter in Leftover Surprise featuring chicken and rice in the am and the last (thank goodness) of the short ribs in the pm.  I'm going to have to wing it tomorrow and see what the sale ads bring and I am hoping for a pork loin as I have a cubano pork recipe I would love to make as it sounds yummy.

And please know you are not the only one that has the snuggies:

Holy cow, leave it to Chicago to be paralyzed not by weather related road conditions but a cracked I beam and the whole road shifting.  On Lake Shore Drive of all places!  Thank goodness they found it before the section of road collapsed as that could have been catastrophic.

Well those puppies sure were snuggly!  Jennie "fluffs" Buster to her liking before she snuggles up next to him.  He just kind of looks at us like "Please help me!"  But he always lets her snuggle in.  Roscoe is on his own-he isn't much of a lover and only really seeks shelter when he is in trouble.   Then it's Buster to the rescue once again although Buster knows the next time he enters a room Roscoe is in, Roscoe is going to growl and snip at him like an intruder.
