Somewhere in one of the versions I read that it freezes well. Just cut & wrap in serving size portions.

That's probably what I will do.

Oh @ChiliPepper thank you so much for mentioning this as I know I will have lots of leftovers so I think it would be best to get them into the freezer while they are still more fresh if that makes sense . . . muchos gracias!  Smiley Happy

@momtochloe

You are doing this anyways but I read too to put it in a 8 x 8 inch pan so it is thicker. May have to cook it a few more minutes I'm guessing.

He is on United @momtochloe

I haven't heard from him in 1/2 hour now...wonder if he got anything?!

Do they reimburse you though for this half of the trip?

Ya know....I was thinking a shot of Honey Bourbon in sweet tots would be delish too...maybe not w/ the Key lime...I'm sticking w/ the tequilla for that...

but just in general....for me...sweet tots are sweet enuf!  I don't care for all the recipes w/ 3 cups of brown sugar!  A shot of honey bourbon alone might just be yummy!

@momtochloe

I LOVE that thing!!! I'm thinking you could use any fairly thick dip as the football part, as long as it went with the pepperoni "pigskin".

Mmmmmmmmmmm................

What else besides pepperoni could you use to make it look like a football?

@RespectLife (and please know I am not trying to make myself out to be a babe in the woods when it comes to booze) and I think the addition of Honey Bourbon would be a great idea but there is something about the addition of tequila that really takes the dish in a very different and delicious direction.

@ChiliPepper I think maybe chipped beef (like the kind you normally mix into the cream cheese)?

The only other thing I could think of was is it prosciuitto?  I am not familiar with this at all but maybe would be a great covering if shredded a bit?

Oh goodness @ChiliPepper I don't think these two belong together.  I think @RespectLife and I were chatting about different options for a recipe I posted on the Recipe Exchange that involved sweet potatoes.  Both would be a great addition to my beloved spuds but for me I wouldn't mix those two alcohols together if that makes sense . . . Great ideas but probably not as neat & cool looking as the pepperoni.

Pepperoni it is!!!!! Inner dips are optional!!!

I couldn't agree more @ChiliPepper but for those inner "carnivores" perhaps add the chipped beef or maybe . . . dare I say . . . bacon? . . . to the cream cheese mix . . . more protein to each scoop . . . Smiley Happy

Please know I add bacon to my morning meds so you should probably just ignore me . . . tee hee!
