S'mores Martini 1n700.jpg

S'mores Martini

Per Serving:

2 oz. Marshmallow vodka
1 oz. Chocolate liqueur
1 oz. Creme de Cacao
2 oz. Cream or half & half
1 oz. Chocolate, melted
1 Graham cracker
3 Marshmallows

Crush the graham cracker into a shallow bowl using your hands.  It's OK if there are some chunkier pieces.

Place the chocolate into a second shallow bowl and microwave for a few seconds until melted.  Dip the rim of a martini glass into the chocolate and then into the graham cracker pieces.

Refrigerate for a few minutes to set.

Add the marshmallow vodka, chocolate liqueur, creme de cacao and cream to a cocktail shaker.  Fill with ice, shake well and pour into the prepared glass.

Spear the marshmallows on the end of a skewer or long fork and hold over an open flame for a couple of seconds until the ends get toasted.  Thread them onto a cocktail pick and garnish the drink.

THIS SHOULD BE EVERYDAY!  MY KINDA DAY!!

Wait till DD sees this...she is a Smores fanatic!

Well done @ChiliPepper

Re: Quick Pot Sticker Soup

[ Edited ]

Hello THankful Thursday everyone!

I know you are all steamy, so I am thankful you are all bearing it and staying healthy through it.  My DH thought I was nuts walking my mile after work yesterday but this is the weather I thrive in....although my makeup has been quite 'dewey' this week!

Is it apprapo (sp?) to state in the same thread as being thankful that I LOVE shots?  Is that a bit of sacrilige (again using big words I can't spell, tee hee)

If it isn't...I do!  @momtochloe  @ChiliPepper

Not sweet sissy stuff like schnapps...but rot your thoat out and burn your gullet all the down stuff!  I can throw them back w/ the big boys!

Ah yes!!  One of my favs!  I found mini's and my GF and I did those in the Domincan!  I thought I read somewhere Fireball has something in it similar to antifreeze!  YIKES!

We also did some potent thing called Mamawanna...or some foolish name like that.  A bit sweet but a Domincan specialty!

"Mamajuana is the indigenous drink of the Dominican Republic.  It is a brew of twigs and bark and herbs, with rum and red wine and honey. Some love it, some hate it!  Some claim that it is an aphrodisiac for men, but also that it cures all of what ails you, purifying organs and acting as a medicinal supplement."

Crock Pot Spaghetti

We weren’t kidding about making your spaghetti in the crockpot, and this recipe from Weelicious shows you how to do it. This crockpot spaghetti will be ready in 2 hours and requires 10 minutes of prep time. All you need to do is cook the meat, and then load the slow cooker with spaghetti, sauce, cooked beef, and cheese. Cook on high for 2 hours and then it’s time to eat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef, turkey, or chicken
  • ½ onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 (26-ounce) jars pasta sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the oil, meat, onion, garlic powder and salt for about 5 to 7 minutes, until cooked through. Drain excess fat.

Pour one jar of pasta sauce and 1 cup of water in the bottom of the slow cooker. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and place them on top of the sauce. Add the cooked meat to the crock pot, sprinkle with cheese, and cover with the second jar of pasta sauce. Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2- 2 ½ hours or low for 6 hours Remove the lid, stir to combine and mix everything together.

Slow Cooker Italian Lasagna

SLOW COOKER ITALIAN LASAGNA.jpg

Lasagna is one of those meals that sounds good in theory, but can end up taking an excessive amount of time to prepare. Luckily, your crockpot can do all the work for you, and then all you have to do is load the ingredients. Speaking of ingredients, Betty Crocker’s recipe for slow cooker Italian lasagna enlists pork sausage, tomato sauce, basil leaves, three types of cheese, and lasagna noodles. Once you have your ingredients in the crockpot, cook them on high for 6 and ½ hours before it’s time for an Italian homemade feast.

Ingredients:

  • Âľ pound bulk Italian pork sausage
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 container (15 ounces) part skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (12 ounces)
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles

Directions: In 10- inch skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pinkÍľ drain. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, and salt.

In medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese.

Into 3 ½ to 5-quart slow cooker, spoon ÂĽ of the sausage mixture. Top with 4 noodles, broken into pieces to fit. Top with half of the cheese mixture and ÂĽ of the sausage mixture. Top with 4 noodles, remaining cheese mixture and ÂĽ of the sausage mixture. Top with remaining 4 noodles and remaining sausage mixture.

CoverÍľ cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.

About 10 minutes before serving, sprinkle top of lasagna with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese. CoverÍľ let stand about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut lasagna into pieces.

Yikes, the label on that  yellow bottle looks like it should  be lighter fluid, instead of booze.  Does it make your insides so hot that your outside feels cool?
