  Cheeseburger Cocktail

 

Cheeseburger Cocktail

 

 

Inspired by National Sandwich Day, Flor de Caña rum teamed up with top mixologists to create cocktails like this Cheeseburger created by Trevor Burnett and Whitney Munro of Tipicular Fixin's.

 

 

YIELDS:1
 

Ingredients

 

  • 1 oz. Flor de Caña 7 yr rum
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 oz. iceberg lettuce water
  • 1 oz. well-reduced beef stock
  • salt and pepper
  •  

GARNISH:

 

  • 2 tbsp. toasted bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard powder
  • 2 tbsp. aged Cheddar
  • 1 large kosher dill pickle
 
 

Directions

    1. Step Muddle tomatoes, add ice, and slowly pour in lettuce water. Stir rum and beef jus together in stainless shaker. Float rum mixture over ice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour into glass garnished with bread crumbs and Cheddar frico (see below).
    2. Step To make garnish, heat pan to medium heat, sprinkle in cheddar and use sides of spoon to gather cheese into a circle. Brown lightly on both sides and remove from pan to cool on plate. Mix bread crumbs with dry mustard. Wet rim of glass with pickle juice, dip glass in crumb mixture.

Cheeseburger Michelada 

 

This twist on the classic Michelada is perfect for any party! It's a Cheeseburger Michelada that doubles as a cocktail and appetizer.

 

PREP TIME: 10 minutes
 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1/2 lb. Ground Round
  • ½ Cup Clamato Cocktail
  • 2 Limes
  • ¼ Cup Pulp Free Orange Juice (per cocktail)
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce (per cocktail)
  • Hot Sauce (to taste)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • ¼ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Lager Beer
  • Mexican Tajin Blended Spices For Glass Rim
  • Slider Buns
  • Celery (optional)
 
 

Instructions:

 

  1. To start your cocktail, run lime across the rim of your glass.
  2. Dip the glass in mexican Tajin blended spices and coat evenly. Add ice.
    Add lime juice, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and orange juice.
  3. Fill with Clamato and lager beer.
  4. For the garnish, heat your grill to a medium temperature. Add 1 lb ground round molded into patties onto the grill. Flip and cook until medium well done.
  5. Add Cheddar Cheese slice.
  6. Add the individual cheeseburger patties onto the slider buns and skewer together with sliced lime wedges. Place skewer into the drink with optional celery.
 

Notes:

 

  • Double or triple the recipe for parties and pour over ice just before serving.
