Directions

  1. Step1

    Make Bacon and Maple-Infused Simple Syrup: Add bacon, maple syrup, and water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer 1 minute; remove from heat and cool slightly.

  2. Step2

    Make Bacon and Bourbon Cocktail: Fill a 6-oz. cocktail glass with ice; set aside. Add additional ice to a cocktail shaker. Add bourbon, Bacon and Maple-Infused Syrup, and unsweetened iced tea; shake until well combined and chilled. 

    Culinary Expert Tip
    To make homemade candied bacon, preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Add bacon strips and drizzle with Hy-Vee 100% pure maple syrup. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until crispy. Drain on paper towels and cool before serving.

SMOKY BLOODY MARY


Level: Easy

Yield: 6 drinks


6 slices peppered bacon
3 1/4 cups tomato juice
1 1/4 cups bacon-flavored vodka (or regular
vodka)
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 3
lemons)
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons chipotle hot sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Freshly ground pepper
6 stalks celery with leaves

 



Cook the bacon in a large skillet over
medium heat, turning occasionally,
until golden brown and crisp, 9 to 11
minutes. Drain on paper towels.

 

Meanwhile, combine the tomato juice,
vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, hot
sauce, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt
and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a pitcher;
refrigerate until ready to serve.

 

Pour the Bloody Mary mixture into 6
large ice-filled glasses. Add a piece of
bacon and a celery stalk to each.

Personally, I'm not a fan of traditonal CCCs so maybe chocolate DIPPED cherries:

With only 2 ingredients needed, these chocolate covered cherries are super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 lb fresh cherries pits removed
 

Instructions

  • Prep your cherries by washing them, drying them and then removing the pits. 
  • Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or wax paper.
  • Melt your chocolate with the double boiler.
  • Dip the cherry into the melted chocolate, swirl the cherry around to get it fully covered with chocolate and place on the sheet pan.
  • Place the tray of cherries into the fridge for about an hour or until the chocolate has set.
