tiny 2,

     How wonderful that Santa came early and brought you those delicious pears!  Hope you enjoy them.

     It has been good to hear about the Raleigh area from you as well.  It sounds like things really have changed since we lived in North Carolina.

     Is The Irregardless still in business?  We have so many fond memories from that place.  Did Arthur Gordon (the original owner of The Irregardless) ever come out with a second cookbook?  I have the first one and have really enjoyed using it over the years.  The illustrations were nicely done.

Hi @Writer with Flair . He sold the Irregardless in January, however it is still open. I don't know about another book. I collected several recipes from the newspaper when they had a nice food section and looked forward to the "Specialty of the House" every week. I cut them out and now many are starting to disintegrate but I have them copied.

I miss the older News and Observer. Now there is not much to it and I canceled it a couple of years ago.

Chili!

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Young Lady!      (Never forget that age is just a state of mind.)

tiny 2,

     I have this cookbook by Arthur.  It looks like there are lots of copies out there in used book places.

@momtochloe

Thanks mtc!

It was a nice day. I just went home & relaxed pretty much after work. I enjoyed watching the Kids Baking Championship show on Food Network, I have been looking forward to that.

Boy, we got snow last night! Yuck!!!
