Do you know how many square feet your current house totals?  I'm always conscious of floor plan size ever since I went through building my house, but I've found most people don't have any idea what theirs is.  I'll be sending good thoughts your way (prayers, too) as you go through the selling process.

There's a young-ish couple in our church who bought a "house-in-a-hurry" -- the owner was a builder who had done a subdivision on the land around his house and when he got ready to move, he told his realtor he wanted to be out in a month. When she protested about the time frame, he told her she didn't understand -- he didn't care how much she got, he just wanted to be GONE.  I have never seen such a house -- it had an eight-car garage, 27 outside doors, and an indoor swimming pool (which had been filled in because it leaked).  The place looked like a conference center instead of a dwelling, yet it was surrounded by ordinary subdivision-sized houses.

She was a CPA and said they had been praying for a house they could afford which had no stairs so it would be convenient for all of her elderly clients to get to her home office.  Her husband said when it came to answering prayers, "sometimes God just likes to show out."

@Honeybit my current house is a hair under 1,600 feet.  The condo is a two bedroom with in house washer/dryer plus the underground parking.  It's in a great area with wonderful shopping (the only downside is it is very close to Heckle of Heckle and Jeckle) . . . no more yard, no more having to worry about outside maintenance . . . YAY!

And how fabulous for your friend????  That place sounds absolutely incredible, I am so glad when lovely people have their prayers answered like that . . . Heart

MAJOR YAY !!!  @momtochloe

Sounds like the meeting went great!

Now when you go condo shopping...don't go too far!  Eventually, I am making it back to Chicagoland and need to be able to find you!

Right now, I think I can go to the church and just yell for ya!

Hey!  Where did ya git that electric sifter?  Amazon?  If this one breaks, that would be the next one on my list!  How cool is that!

Do you remember where you found the sifter to order one "without the rust" ?

As @ChiliPepper said, I still sift to mix the dry ingredients even though the gurus tell us modern flour doesn't need to be lightened or delumped -- although I'm not entirely certain that there are things in my pantry that could still be classified as "modern".   I opened a can of sweetened condensed milk the other day that had turned itself into caramel without benefit of boiling.  Around here it's not so much a "sell by" date as an "ossified by" date!

Love it -- someone I worked with owned a toy poodle who, when left alone, would go into every bathroom and get hold of the end of the toilet paper and unroll it all over the house as far as it would roll.  If the paper broke, she would go back and start over with the rest of it.  I'm not sure if they would roll it all back up again, but they never closed the bathroom doors because they wanted her to be able to entertain herself while they were gone.

LOL

What is it about toilet paper and animals???  The scent maybe?

I had a cat that shredded it.  Two dogs that ate it.  And this Puggle is a master TP decorator!  One time she dragged it through 3 rooms downstairs and it never broke!

Nah I'll still be close @RespectLife, maybe 15 minutes away so you'll have to yell LOUD . . . tee hee!

The sifter in the picture is from Walmart but it's a NorPro so you can get it just about anywhere.  The one I bought my mom was from QVC decades ago and actually had a different handle (L shaped) and the battery went in there . . . it works great if you have dexterity issues.

The flavor-enhancing potential of rust is also vastly under-rated.

POIFECT!  You'd be surprised how loud I am!

I don't have dexterity issues yet but I do suffer from extreme laziness and gadget hoarding!
