Re: Quick Pot Sticker Soup

@momtochloe

I've only ever done it on my grill but I see no reason why a hot grill pan wouldn't work.

I'm thinking not on the broiler (but I don't know for sure). My first thought is the broiler would be too hot. You really don't want to "cook" it you want to pretty much just sear it.

Oh thanks @ChiliPepper!  I am heading out tomorrow as I have a coupon for a bag of free lettuce (tee hee!) and I'll have to check out their watermelon as they have corn on sale and I'll be grilling that . . . thank you!

eta:  I may even sneak over to their salad bar and grab a scoop of feta cheese . . . Smiley Happy

Personally, I thought it was nuts when I first heard of it, then I thought Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, you like grilled pineapple so why not grilled watermelon?

I just don't cook it for long. I did pineapple, watermelon, grape & strawberry kabobs one time. I  do them separate now though because I don't mind the pineapple & grapes cooked a little more but the berries & melon I liked better just barely seared.

Good Morning, what is left of it, Kitchenettes!

I am running and gunning this morning and am behind on everything.  Haven't had time to read what is going on here yet but wanted to direct you all to the Life, Love and Sugar blog today and take a look at that cannoli layer cake she made.  I think my computer is missing a bite!  I am not even a "cake" person-I'm a pie person but this cake-Mama Mia!  I do love a good cannoli and personally I think this cake would make a different but wonderful wedding cake.  And not as sweet because the frosting contains mascarpone cheese.  This young woman is a Di Vinci with cakes!

Will catch up with you all later!

Thank you all dear friends for your support and prayers.
Everything went smoothly at the funeral. The organist lowered the keys for me and I was blessed to get through all three songs. I pray they were a blessing to God and an honor to papa Q.
I look forward to joining you guys again tomorrow.
Many hugs!!!

Chili, don't you love it when the present you get is something you really really want?  << SMILES >>

Those are beautiful -- I know you'll enjoy them.

Oh @RespectLife I have been thinking of you and Papa q's family all day.  I am so glad to hear from you and that everything went well.  You are a much stronger woman than I am, I never would have made it through the first verse of the first song.  Take care my friend and God bless!  Heart

@momtochloe  ref Galavant

Galavant is a strange hybrid -- a comedy-musical mini-series satire about knights in armor and wicked queens.  It has had two seasons, each about six episodes.  They always end the season with a song which basically says, "We hope we'll be back next season but in case we're not, we're ending it like this."

Parts of it are just silly, and parts of it are really clever -- the thing it reminds me of the most is Monty Python's SPAMALOT.  If you don't like that kind of humor, you won't like Galavant at all.

To give you some idea, in the first episode the lady love of main character Galavant (as in Lancelot) is abducted by the lustful king.  When Galavant finally fights his way into the castle to rescue her, he tells her, "He can offer you unlimited power and unlimited wealth, but only I can offer you true love." And she says (of course), "Well, you know, dear, I really think I prefer the unlimited power and wealth."

Season 2 was funnier, to me, than Season 1.
