I have some that I need to use up and just happen to have phyllo cups in my freezer. Thought my elderly neighbors would enjoy a nice treat and know they love anything lemon. I was wondering whether adding lemon juice and zest would break down the cream and ruin it.
I have made lemon curd before but that's a different process and I was hoping to use up the lovely pastry cream I have on hand. Worst case, I think I am safe dusting the top with some zest but that would obviously not have the effect I was going for.
Thanks for your help!
