Re: Question: Attn: PORK LOVERS - re: Recipes

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of some of the roast pork or pork chop recipe variations where you would use some brown sugar and some sauerkraut and apples or apple cider together in a recipe, in some way. Smiley Happy

If you've noticed a thickening of your waist, then cut the sugar.  It is adding extra calories.

I only use sugar with pork products in a glaze for ham or in a dry rub for ribs.

Re: Question: Attn: PORK LOVERS - re: Recipes

I use a wonderful seasoning from The Spice House for pork (and other foods): Gateway to the North. It's made with maple sugar, brown sugar, garlic, salt, pepper and onion. Is it healthy? I don't know and I really don't worry about it since I don't use it every day. But - it's great on pork chops or tenderloin, baked beans, bacon - anything you want a slightly sweet taste.
