@drizzellla If it were me, no I wouldn't just add it.  I think it would probably make the soup too rich--at least for us it would.  Add a little bit until you start to taste that you are getting more cream taste and less potato taste.

 

And if you don't use it and don't want it just toss the rest.  It is a lot of added fat, so don't worry about it.  You 'll never use up everything you buy.

Keep in refrigerator til it defrosts. Then whisk or shake it to reconstitute.

Add the cream. Adjust the other ingredients. 
Or find a recipe that calls for the amount you have.
