Funny how I don't care for coconut unless it is in cream pie. That picture looks delicious.

Re: Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

I made this pie for dessert tonight. Big hit!! It was so easy and probably one of the best-tasting pies I have ever made. I did use almond milk instead of half and half. It came out perfect.

Re: Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

I made this and I think I cooked the filling on too high of heat and too long. It has to be stired constantly, which I did. I like the flavor and will try it again. It didnt seem to set well and I taste the flour a bit. (It didnt burn on bottom of pan)

That was my first thought - Maryanne's famous coconut cream pie. Your picture is making my mouth water. 7:40 am is not too early for pie, right?
