@Noel7 so glad your daughter will do the heavy lifting.  i forget where she lives - is there a deli in her area where she might be able to order/pick up kugel to bring with her? i know here in Los Angeles Gelson's has an a la carte menu (non kosher) for kugel, tzimmes, etc. wonder if such a thing exists where you are or she is.  anyway wishing you a good year, a sweet year, a year of peace and health.

@Noel7 I bought 3 Kugels at Costco. Noodle, Potato and Broccoli. They were not where they are usually placed. In my Costco, they were in a small open refrigerated section next to the muffins, breads etc..

Does anyone know if Trader Joe's or Safeway has a ready made Noodle Kugel, preferably raisin?

We found pretty much everything at Costco: brisket, matzo ball soup, pastrami, I can't remember what all, but no Kugel.

I see great recipes but I injured my leg and can't stand or get around for now.

QUESTION:

Do you have to use Passover egg noodles or are lasagna noodles a good substitute?

Hi @Noel7,

I'm so very sorry to read that you've been injured. Smiley Sad

It sounds like you have a great meal and menu planned, though.

I have my MILs Sweet Noodle Kugel Recipe that I would be happy to post and share, if anyone would like it.

It is made with egg noodles, golden raisins, and cream cheese.

I was just looking it over, and she is one of those ladies who just "eyeballs" everything, so when I asked her for the recipe years ago, she would just say, "Oh you know, just eyeball it, and see how much you want to put in--a pinch of this, or a handful of that--whatever you want to put in."

Not exactly accurate, but her recipes always turned out really good! LOL!! Smiley LOL

@Toppers3      Hello! I just now read this thread. Yes, would you be so kind as to post your MIL's Kugel recipe?      Thanks so much, Solar

Hi @Solar Is My Name,

I will most certainly post it for you. Heart

However, I will go ahead and start it in a separate thread so that this one can be left for the original topic. Smiley Happy

Yes, it is a Jewish dessert.  The one I had was more like a rice pudding with noodles instead of rice.  They also make savory kugels.
