@vabreeze  Go back one more and "T" follows "H".

It's all as you like anyway so no worries.

No Alphabet Police 🚨🚓👮‍♂️....on duty here!  Only Officer Friendly!😂  Consider it a test to make sure you know the alphabet...ha!  Good catch @vabreeze !  @Enufstuff ...gave recipe for H but listed T as next ingredient.  @Zhills listed 'I'to get back on track maybe.  Either way .....on we go with good recipes.

ICE CREAM Donut Sandwiches

Soften a quart of favorite ICE CREAM.  Take regular donuts and slice in half.  Spread ICE CREAM over donut and top.  Roll in sprinkles.  Freeze.

(This reminds me that I recently heard Entemann's Bakery will be making Ice Cream Sandwiches soon.)

I've posted this one before.

Skillet Honey & Lime Corn

Ingredients are approximate...I add a bit more honey sometimes, as well as more lime juice, salt, etc., but start here. Total cooking time is less than 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

4 or 5 ears of fresh corn - cut off cob (don't 'milk' the cob - just kernels)

2-3 T butter

jalapeno chili, finely chopped (your discretion - I use about a half of one)
kosher salt, to taste

1 T honey (spray the measuring spoon w/ cooking spray 1st)

2 T lime juice, plus additional wedges for serving

about 3 T roughly chopped cilantro + more

Directions:

1. In a deep skillet (cast-iron preferred) over medium heat, add the butter & when foaming subsides, add jalapeno & stir a bit.

2. Add the corn, turn up the heat & cook, stirring occasionally for a few minutes.

3. Add salt & taste. Add the honey & stir.

Continue to cook & stir for another minute or 2, turn off heat & add the lime juice. Taste it again.

More lime, or more honey, or more salt?

4. Remove from heat & stir in cilantro.

Pour into a pretty bowl & sprinkle w/ a bit more cilantro.

*Serve with lime wedges.

Shrimp, Corn and Black Bean Salad

¼ cup Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Original, divided
1 pound large shrimp, thawed, peeled, deveined, and tails removed
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 cups fire roasted corn, thawed
1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup chopped red onion
¼ cup chopped cilantro

  1. Move oven rack 8-inches from broiler. Preheat broiler on high heat and lightly grease a sheet pan with cooking oil spray. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of Takumi sauce over shrimp in a bowl and stir to coat. Spread evenly on sheet pan and broil for 6-8 minutes to lightly brown shrimp. Depending on how hot your broiler gets, you may want to remove the sheet pan a little earlier. Remove shrimp from oven and cool to room temperature.
  2. Stir together remaining Takumi sauce and lime juice in a small jar. Combine shrimp, corn, black beans, tomatoes, red onion and cilantro in a serving bowl. Drizzle with dressing and gently stir to combine. Serve right away or refrigerate until serving.

The recipe was posted years ago by @MissButtercup. She's missed around here!

I added "Quaker" to comply with the next letter.

"These are delicious, very toasty and melt in your mouth crunchy, the combination of brown sugar, butter and oats makes these almost caramel-like.. They are the simplest cookie you will ever make too."

2 sticks real unsalted butter (8 oz)
2 c dry Quaker oatmeal, regular or quick cooking; I use regular.
1 c flour
1 c light brown sugar
1 t baking soda

Knead all these things together in a large bowl with clean hands. Smash it all together till well blended.

This is a great recipe to make with children for this reason.

Now, take the dough and form pieces into balls the size of walnuts.

Place on parchment lined baking sheets and flatten the balls with a drinking glass dipped in sugar.

Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.

Buttered RUTABAGA

          Ingredients

  • 3 lbs rutabaga
  • 4 Tbsp butter, or more to taste
  • 1 tsp salt, or more to taste
  • fresh cracked black pepper

          Instructions

  • Peel the rutabaga. Trim the ends, and then cut into an even dice. I went with a 1/2 inch size, you can do larger if you like.
  • Put the rutabaga in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add 1 tsp salt and bring to a boil. Cover, turn down the heat and cook until just tender, but not soft or mushy. Mine took only 10 minutes.
  • Drain and return to the pan. Add butter, salt, and pepper to taste.

We always added a little sugar (maple syryp) until it is about as carrots.

Next ingredient starts with an S.

Easy & yummy.

* In Step 4, some people melt the butter first.

* I don't use the honey, mainly because of the stickiness.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Squares

Ingredients

cooking spray
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 ¾ cups white sugar, divided
1 teaspoon Mexican vanilla extract
2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
½ cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup honey

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 2
Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
Step 3
Unroll crescent roll dough, and use a rolling pin to shape each sheet into a 9x13-inch rectangle. Press one piece into the bottom
of the prepared baking dish. Evenly spread cream cheese mixture on top, then cover with remaining piece of crescent dough.
Step 4
Mash remaining 3/4 cup sugar, butter, and cinnamon with a fork until combined. Dot mixture over top of dough.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven until crescent dough has puffed and turned golden brown, about 30 minutes.
Step 6
Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey.

Cool completely in the pan for about 2 hours before cutting into squares.
