I had a recipe that you cooked the meatballs in the oven.  I have looked - can't seem to find it but it seems like you could probably cook any meatballs in the oven.  Darn, now I am really hungry for Swedish meatballs!

Allspice isn’t sweet. It adds that certain something to the flavor. Your recipe looks so good I’m going to try it next week. Yum.

Thanks, everyone.

You're right - allspice is not sweet.  I made them tonight. I followed the recipe completely, except I used half-n-half and added some peas.  We enjoyed it very much and will have the leftovers on Friday.  I don't think I'll be making it again for a long while, but it was nice to try something different.
