For me, a "dessert" needs to be something my body needs so the cravings stop.  I have an app that keeps track of what I eat and what I need to eat. So do I need more protein?  More fiber?  Good for you fat? Carbs?

If you satisfy your body's needs and keep doing this for a number of weeks, the cravings do subside a lot--or they did for us.  You need real food, and just because it's low far or low cal it doesn't mean it is healthy or giving you what your body needs.

I know exactly what you mean ... and I agree.

My treat after cleaning up from dinner is a frozen Outshine fruit bar. Most are very low calories and satisfy my urge for something sweet.

@Desertdi

Same here!  I couldn't care less for the salty snacks, but when I am trying to avoid sweet and/or chocolate, I get irritable!!!

You could try frozen grapes.  Or a small yogurt cup frozen is refreshing.  If that is not quite doing it, you could try shaving a little dark chocolate over it.  Any frozen fruit in a bag sometimes feels like a treat, such as cherries.  How about a few animal crackers?

Yes!  Animal crackers, and I just thought of graham crackers!

You can 'dip' them into apple sauce  and other sweet dipping sauces or cool-whip type(s).  Yogurt, low fat / low sugar ice cream, etc.  I'm sure other posters will have many more other ideas regarding dipping graham or animal crackers.

I'm going to stock up on graham crackers.  Thanks for reminding me.

Popcorn. It has carbs, but no sugar.  I use organic plain popcorn in bag.  I also like frozen grapes, I also take frozen organic mango chunks. Then pulse ate them.  Makes an instand mango sorbet type treat.  You could use organic strawberries or such, but I love the smooth texture of mango pulp  frozen
