Bacon-Cheddar Ranch Dip

1 - 16 oz. sour cream

1 - 1 oz. pk. Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I always end up using more)

1/4 cup crisp, crumbled bacon

Combine sour cream and dip mix. Stir in cheese and bacon. Chill at least one hour. Easy and good!

Hot French Onion Dip

1 Onion soup mix pk.

1 - 16 oz. sour cream

2 c. shredded Swiss cheese

1/4 c. mayo

375 oven. In 1 qt. dish, combine mix and sour cream, 1 3/4 c. cheese and mayo. Bake uncovered 20 minutes, sprinkle top with remaining cheese. Serve with slices of french bread and other dippers.

Fruit Dip

1 - 8 oz. thawed whip cream topping

1 - 8 oz. soft cream cheese (can use a fruit flavored one)

1 - 7 oz. jar marshmallow cream

Mix until smooth, chill, and serve with fruit slices or "fruit on a stick".

Carmelized Onion Dip from Alton Brown - Use sweet Vidalia onions for this...it's simple and fantastic - you'll NEVER buy pre-made onion dip again!

Clinton Kelly's Sour Cream and Onion Dip
Contributed by: Clinton Kelly
There's nothing better than a sour cream and onion dip. Give this one a try at your next party.
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 large Yellow Onion (cut into even 1/4-inch
thick rings)
1 clove Garlic (minced)
1 1/2 cup Sour Cream
3/4 cup Mayonnaise
Kosher Salt
Pepper
ingredients
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 large Yellow Onion (cut into even 1/4-
inch thick rings)
Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add the onion,
and season with a large pinch of salt, then toss to coat in oil.
1 clove Garlic (minced) Arrange the onion into an even layer in the pan, and cook stirring
occasionally, but retaining an even layer. Cook until the onions
caramelize, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the
garlic.
1 1/2 cup Sour Cream
3/4 cup Mayonnaise
Kosher Salt
Pepper
Combine remaining ingredients in a food processor. Add the
onions, garlic, and season with black pepper. Pulse until
thoroughly combined, then transfer to the refrigerator. Serve chilled.

Today's email from The Pioneer Woman had her Veggie Cream Cheese Spread recipe which is a little bit thicker than a ""dip"" but you could thin it out with a little yogurt or sour cream or mayo. It looked really delicious and healthy as it had a bunch of veggies in it. I plan to make some to use as a dip.

Here are 2 of my daughter's recipes that are always a hit! She serves with Scoops or Tortilla Chips. Yum! The first recipe, she dices the items very small... Enjoy!

Julie's Cowboy Salsa

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and washed
1 (15 ounce) can corn (I get the one with no salt added)
1 medium tomato, diced
1 small red onion, diced
3 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 bunch chopped cilantro
2 avocados, diced

Directions

Mix all ingredients together. Top with Avocado just before serving.

Black Bean Mango Salsa
3 - 4 Mangos - peeled, seeded, and diced
1 - (15 oz) can Bush's black beans, drained and rinsed
1 - (10 oz) can white shoe-peg corn, drained or 10 oz frozen yellow corn, thawed
2 - Tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
3 - Tablespoon red onion, diced
1 - lime, juiced
salt and pepper to taste

Stir the diced mango, black beans, corn, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Serve with tortilla or pita chips for dipping or alongside grilled chicken, steak or fish.

Everyone loves this when I serve it. Red Pepper Jelly, Cream Cheese and Crackers. So simple too. A bowl of red pepper jelly or hot pepper jelly, a bowl of cream cheese, and a platter of crackers. Put a spreader in each bowl and set the bowls on a platter with the crackers. They disappear fast.
