Last weekend I baked a chocolate birthday bundt cake for my daughter in law.  When I flipped it out of the pan, it stuck - badly!  That hadn't happened for several years. . .I ended up making some scratch chocolate pudding and I happened to have some whipping cream, which got whipped.  Torn up chocolate cake, chocolate pudding and whipped cream got layered in my trifle bowl, covered with plastic and traveled (in an ice storm - what was I thinking???) for a birthday party.  This chocolate trifle became a big birthday hit with adults/children, and may become the requested birthday "cake" next year!
