Ideas Please - Easy Dessert

[ Edited ]

I need to take a dessert/treat to a party and prefer easy and inexpensive.

~ store bought is fine

~ theme is Christmas Fiesta

~ mess-free so no cinnamon (ie Churros) or powdered sugar (ie Mexican Wedding Cookies)

~ good for toddlers to adults (6 dozen)

~ easy to travel with

Any ideas? tia!

Keeping Mexican Fiesta themed:

  • Sopapilla Cheesecake Squares

Or since you need 6 dozen perhaps stick with a cookie ( and you said you didnt want powdered sugar or cinnamon dusting to keep it neat)

  • Cinnamon chip cookies with reg and green sprinkles folded in. I know my grocery store has cinnamon chips this time of year.

  • Mexican Chocolate Brownies with cayenne chili ( not for toddlers though)

  • Guava  pinwheel cookies. You could buy refrigerator sugar cookie dough if you dont want to make yourself. Roll out dough, CHILL , spread store bought guava paste or jam, roll up like a jelly roll, slice and bake. You could sprinkle lIghtly with green sanding sugar before baking to make it more festive
  • Lime Curd Thumbprint cookies, a tiny bit of lime zest after baking or green sanding sugar on top before to jazz up.

YUM!
Your ideas sound so good!

I have never heard of cinnamon chips but would love to try these.

Mexican chocolate brownies with cayenne chilli sounds unique!

Easiest ever  Layer store bought ice cream sandwiches in a pan with cool whip Frost top with cool whip Add sprinkles. Usually 2 to 3 boxes of icecream and 2 tubs of cool whip will make a double layer iv a 9 x 13 pan Can use sugar free if needed Cut in squares to sserve

@LTT1 i only see these seasonly and Hershey makes them,. Im not a fan of the packaging as they are NOT chocolate so not easy to spot. Shrinkflation has shrunk to 10oz.

There are others online but more expensive

Lay small pretzels on baking sheet. Placed unwrapped rolo candy ( or Hershey Kiss) on too. Bake 4 minutes at 250. Top with pecan half or red or green M&M. Easy to transprt, easy to pick up and eat.

Re: Ideas Please - Easy Dessert

My suggestion for easy treat for Christmas Fiesta....

Buy Brownie Bites at grocery store.  They are sold in bakery area at my store...in plastic container.  Also buy tubes of red, green and white frosting.  Put Brownie Bites on serving tray.  Squeeze a dollop of frosting on each...some red, some green and some white.  You can even put some colored sprinkles on top....have seen sprinkles in red, green and white also.

Most people of any age love brownies.  Add the frosting and it represents Christmas and Mexican Fiesta!

Enjoy!
