How do you store them in the freezer?  Ziploc bags?

I cook for one, but I definitely eat more than a cube at a time.

Yes. They sell different sizes of freezer storage cubes. After the items have frozen, you pop them out and store in freezer bag.

I feeze tomato paste in small quanties.  I buy it in large cans and never use it all at once.

I either don't use or have no use for the other items that are cubed.  Who uses 1 cube of chicken stock?

I cook for two, so we almost always have at least one meal of leftovers (which we don't mind). However, your post is a good reminder that nothing needs to go to waste.

ziploc is fine....I use small containers which I label makes it easier to get at for me

for stock I use the larger round(ball shaped) ice tray since I use more in a recipe

Re: I really love this for small batch cooking :)

I also cook for two...I put servings in cup cake pans, freeze, then wrap indivdual servings...easy to pull from the freezer and use...things like taco meat, frozen fruit salad, coffee cake, and I also make pound and do the same...easier than trying to cut a slice of something ib a larger container.
