@Zhills  No, I haven't and guess I won't try it again.  Almond milk is all I buy but I keep some powdered milk on hand for such purposes.

I have used the powdered buttermilk with pretty good results.  I do not bake biscuits anymore because ther is just me and if I baked a pan full, I would eat a pan full (quicker than normal).  Don't need that!

Blue Jean Chef, Meridith has a buttermilk biscuit recipe and video on her website, and they are so delicious and super easy to make.
