GARLIC TEXAS TOAST

[ Edited ]

I've been wondering about this garlic toast forever and finally baked it today.  It is great.  House smells as if I've been cooking sauce all day. lol.

I put in the oven until a crisply light brown.  I did add butter to each slice which melted easily.  Crispy and good!

5 stars for Texas Toast.

Yes, it is good. I've tried to cut back on breads, so I rarely buy frozen garlic bread.

@Pink123  It reminds me of when I make my homemade croutons. The aroma lingers but not the croutons! 😝

Happy New Year and happy cooking!

I used to have a slice for breakfast.  Brown a piece on each side in a nonstick stillet, top with a fried egg.  Very tasty but I try to avoid white bread now.
