without a doubt the most used cookbooks I have used is the FOSTERS MARKET cookbooks, first and second one . I think I have made almost every recipe in their book. I alter of course, because I use lower salt, and always use organic.. down to the spices. The recipes are so flavorful, everyone requests them, their baking recipes take ordinary recipes like Bread Pudding, muffins into something so special. Way beyond. A few recipes. Roasted Chicken Soup, Says Bread Pudding, and the country muffins are worth the cookbook alone. I don't cook anymore , my husband or granddaughter does. I have passed The Fosters Market cookbook soup recipe to her. This soup is so good and flavorful friends request it.

Is there a cookbook which has very simple, very basic recipes? Recipes which do not have a ton of ingredients, do not require a ton of steps and are not fancy? Also, primarily dinner recipes which can be prepared rather quickly. I am not a cook - at all. I want to start cooking dinners insteading of depending a lot on pre-packaged things which I have been doing lately. I know I can get recipes on line but I don't want to have to wade through a bunch of different places to find things. Any ideas??? Thank you!

Favorite cookbook - I like the crock pot / or easy soup/stews cookbooks. Favorite tv cook/chef, love Patti's Mexican Kitchen.

@LadybugDG I have to say the most used cookbooks are the old church cookbooks. My daughters swear by them, and now my grands use them. Real food for real people, with interesting twists on family recipes to old standards that just aren't published anymore!!!
