I have made this every week since I found it. I am very particular about how protein is cooked and found these to be so yummy. I do not use an onion there's enough with the soup and soup mix and I think you could probably omit one of those. I also add cut up potatoes to the mix. I cut them up instead of using small potatoes because they get infused with the flavor better.

@Lali1 @Thanks, most of the pork these days comes out dry. This looks like it won't do this. I'd like to add some fresh mushrooms to it.

I have made this many times and tweak it by not using cream of onion soup, instead cream of mushroom and carmelize the onion first....so good! ![]()

Oh no they are moist and fall apart. I think you can add all kinds of things to this recipe.

I use cream of whatever soup. Last week I forgot the cream of soup so I had to make some. No matter how I make this it's the chops that are the star.

That sounds good. I'll have to try that.

this sounds good, although i will substitute cream of chicken or cream of celery in place of the cream of mushroom.
will probably also use some chicken stock instead of the water.
i agree with the poster who said that pork chops these days tend to be quite dry. i do think they trim them too much also.....they really do need a bit of fat on them to keep them more moist.

After years of attempting to cook pork chops in the slow cooker, I finally figured out what works best for me.
I buy the thickest chops I can find and cook them for 4 hours on low adding different BBQ sauces etc. I can't get thin chops to do anything but fall apart in the slow cooker.

@Lali1 I have used the mushroom soup with water on pounded braised flank steak with carmelized onions and fresh mushrooms and garlic in a large cast iron skillet and baked for about 1 1/2 hours to tenderize.
It was always a favorite with our sons, and of course, as a bonus, loaded with iron.
