They turned once opened and placed in Tupperware overnight, because they oxidized and the Tupperware sealed in the oxidized product.  It was probably fine but did not look nice.

Yes, @Group 5 minus 1 I really did know they would turn brown - that is why I have not purchased them for a long time and was asking for helpful suggestions to keep that from occurring.

Costco used to sell packs of apple slices  that were not bad, but  THB  an apple has perfectly good packaging naturally so I stopped buying them.

best alternative is to cut them up and put them in some lemon water, but after a while they apples really don't taste as good,  look for the smallest apples you can find and eat those

 I never liked the taste of lemon juice on my fresh cut fruit.  So I pour citrus soda (7-up, Sprite, etc.) over the fruit and it does not turn brown.

pour a small amount of lemon juice into a water and wash your sliced apple there.. the acid from the lemon will prevent the browning, or rubbed a small amount of lemon juice directly into the apple slices. you can also try pineapple juice for this
