@ECBG Thanks! I'm going to try that.
It's close to the Texas Sheet Cake recipe I was given when I got married! That was made in a bigger pan, hence the Texas name I guess!
I hadn't thought about that in a long time.

@Sooner So sorry about the uneven lines my Dear. After I posted from my cell, the first numeral in all the measurements were cut off!!!
I had to back in and move them since DH takes the computer from 9pm until bed.
Anyway, I wouldn't EVEN miss devil's food if I could just have this one. It will go home with DS, but I'll get two pieces first!!!!!
Please let me know if you like it.

I am so looking forward to making this cake. I don't do much baking but this indeed looks too easy not to try it! Thank you much for sharing this recipe and so many others that you have posted.
Please indicate if a stick or a cup of butter is used in the batter. Thanks!!

@vabreeze I JUST EDITED THIS: I think it's 2 sticks butter. . . but better to let her weigh in (pun intended) than me! But I'll 2 sticks go in the cake and 1/2 stick in the icing?
My first post here was wrong. I looked at a recipe online close to my recipe! LOL!!!

@Sooner SO sorry! I hate typing long things on my cell. It "corrected" the measurement of butter.
The measurement of butter should be ONE stick of butter!

@ECBG GLAD you answered! I can't find my recipe for a cake like that so I'm excited about this!
We moved a few YEARS ago and some things I have NO idea where they wound up! Think the moving co. stole my recipes? LOL!!!!
