Easy 2 Minute Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups (28 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 4 cups (680 grams) Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Method

  1. Lightly brush an 8”x8” tray with butter and line with parchment paper. Keep it aside.
  2. Now in a microwave safe bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter and salt.
  3. Place the bowl in the microwave for a total of 2 minutes, 1 minute at a time in 30 seconds increments, stirring between the minutes.
  4. After two minutes give the mixture a stir till all the chocolate chips in the bowl melt with the heat in the chocolate fudge.
  5. Add in the vanilla extract and mix it into the fudge.
  6. Pour the chocolate fudge into the prepared tray and using a spatula give the fudge an uneven texture on the top.
  7. Cover the fudge with an aluminum foil or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator until set. Overnight is best.
  8. To unmold the fudge, pull the parchment paper overhangs and remove it from the tray.  Gently peel off the parchment paper and cut into desired size cubes.
  9. This fudge makes an excellent gift for the holiday season.

Re: Easy 2 Minute Chocolate Fudge

Brings back some memories.

Gave this recipe to a friend years ago. She complained that the fudge was not good. Taste was bad. She bought regular canned milk, not the sweetened condensed kind.

Re: Easy 2 Minute Chocolate Fudge

I made fudge one year out of 2 ingredients, I think it was peanut butter an cake frosting. I saw it on a YT video. It was good...

Re: Easy 2 Minute Chocolate Fudge

I have a similar recipe that uses 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 cups (I use an 11 ounce bag) of butterscotch chips. The butterscotch chips add some depth to the flavor, and complement the chocolate flavor nicely. This recipe always yields creamy fudge without any crystals. I just made a batch this morning and will be storing it in the overflow fridge until I pack my Christmas cookie tins. I spoon the hot fudge mixture into silicone Christmas molds and peel off the molds as I need them. Enjoy!

Oh, I remember Fantasy Fudge @ECBG . That recipe came out way before links that cause the moderators to delete perfectly good recipes! I like that it was creamy and not grainy.

@AuntG

Graininess comes from using heat that is too low.  I still use a candy thermometer.

I also use butter, not margarine.
