Why don't you try roasting your vegetables instead of steaming them...SO much tastier. Just a suggestion

Oven space - ham, scalloped potatoes, and rolls kept warm in the oven while the veges get steamed. Smiley Happy

this looks like a delicious menu, especially the deviled eggs. No one in my family likes them so I don't bother. Tomorrow is my 75th birthday so maybe I can wheedle my husband into making a small batch for me.

=) Hope so and that you have a wonderful birthday!

@coffee drinker WOW - SO many wonderful ideas right here in this thread! Thanks for asking because I feel many of us will benefit from it! Good luck deciding! Don't worry because even though teens can be a bit picky, they always like a good slider or ham on rolls, then they will fill their plate with whatever is available. I've never met a teen who went hungry at a buffet with all that delicious offerings! Plus, if all else fails, they will hit up that dessert tableSmiley Wink

@GoneButNotForgotten Happy Birthday tomorrow! I hope you get your deviled eggs! No one in my family likes them either, so I get them from our local grocery store! They always have loads of delicious specialty items and a daily hot bar with yummy food. They have deviled eggs available often because they are such a favorite among the shoppers! The chef is a wonderful guy, talented and not afraid to try new things, so he creates new offerings frequently. Good luck with the eggs and Have a Very Happy Birthday!

Honestly, I dont make deviled eggs, but I love them.  My friend always makes them on our beach week, sooo good.  Happy birthday, @GoneButNotForgotten  🎊🎉❤️🎉🎈🎈

@JeanLouiseFinch   what time should I be there?  Your menu looks delish!

Everyone has given such great ideas.  Enjoy!

You're welcome anytime!

I never used to make them either, @lynnie61.  I always had such an awful time getting my eggs to peel cleanly. I tried multiple different methods.  They would be a mangled mess. Ever since I got an instant pot, they're a breeze.  I think my DD would pitch a fit if we didn't have deviled eggs at our holiday get togethers.  I put a little horseradish in the filling.  Sometimes I'll top them with a little crumbled bacon after sprinkling the paprika.

Try deviled eggs with a little whipped cream cheese with the mayo, so good.

Make what your family likes. I have 6 grandchildren and they would never eat dill carrolts, or asparagus  or ham. Make the sliders for them. I buy hebrew national puff pastry mini hot dogs and bake those on a big sheetpan with french fries.

A side of homemade mac and sheese everyone likes.

So cute!

I love Peeps but don't buy them anymore since I have a weakness and would eat all of them.
