Mexican, Asian, Charleston Red Rice, Cajun Dirty Rice, Whatever's-in -the-fridge Fried rice!  It's all popoular at our house and there's not really a set recipe. 

But it's all a one-pan deal.

DH likes the recipe from gimmesomeoven site online. She has several variations listed too.

I make it when I have veggies that need used up..half an onion, a few stalks of celery, the last carrot.  Instead of throwing them out or making soup, I theow them in with rice, eggs, garlic and some type of bottled Asian sauce.

it is always different and always good.

I don't make fried rice but have a wonderful Oriental to go a mile away.

Huh?? I don't understand what you are saying here @ECBG.  Do you have a recipe that you feel exceeds fried rice?  If so, would you share it?  Thanks.

I don't make fried rice (there are quite of good youtube demos), but have an Oriental take out resturant  a few minutes from here.

I always freeze what's leftover since I have cut so far back on starch.
