@Mz iMac: We must be related. See my post to Drythe. During the holidays I would stay up with my Mom until 2am baking cakes. We were so tired but afterwards would watch TCM movies and munch on the failures. We would sleep a couple of hours and get back up and get started with more baking.Precious memories. Southern Bee

Pepperidge Farm Frozen Coconut Layer Cake is the closest to the cake from scratch taste that I remember.


My grandmother used to always have a Pepperidge Farm cake in her fridge. 

Loved the Coconut.  Sisters and I consider them a "tradition" now when we get together for dinner and we chuckle.  Grammy B was the best!
