I replaced mine once with brownie bites just to shake things up. Have to be careful stirring or you get chocolate swirls with it. Once I saw the man on Paula Deen's show doing his with doughnuts I decided anything I like is worth a try.

I have all of her recipes, but can't find that one. It was made w/raisin bread, half and half, eggs and coffee. Daddy and I really enjoyed it.

I have a French toast custard that is made with raisin bread, but it is essentially bread pudding. No coffee in it though.
