@RedTop .....good point....I definitely will do trial and error in smaller batch as @Sooner mentioned too.  I might use my crock pot.  I looked through all of my cookbooks including my early marriage Betty Crocker cookbook....nothing.  Thanks again for sharing thoughts and research on the delicious "vintage" recipe.  Funny thing is we don't even eat that much beef anymore.  But once in awhile a roast or meatloaf hits the spot....side of Chili Sauce ....magnafique....😋!😘!😄!
