@QVCkitty1 Thanks for posting the recipe.
I needed something and wanted a recipe that was a winner.
I used to eat hummus for breakfast. Costco had a tasty hummus that I bought on a regular basis. My Costco no longer carries the brand. They only sell Kirkland brand, which I don't care for. Same with Sam's Club, they used to carry a few different brands and now they only carry Member's Mark with red pepper. No one else in the house will eat it.
What I like about your recipe, is the portion and I can add different ingredients, if needed. It sounds like it is just what I have been looking for.

(1) 19 oz. Can of chick peas rinsed and drained.
(2) garlic cloves chops and mashed to a paste with 1/2 teasp. salt1/2 cup parsley
1/4 cup water
(3) Tbs lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
In a blender or food processor blend all but the oil till smooth. Then add oil in a slow stream.
@QVCkitty1 This is how I like hummus. I like to add some finely chopped red onion and black olives on top. Mmmm

I have made a similar dip and one with canellini beans as well. All are delish and you can also use them as a sandwich spread instead of mayo! Try!

I love hummus. Never made it, though. Too lazy. I used to buy hummus in Whole Foods and one day couldn't find it and a clerk told me to buy it in Aldi's. She said it was better than their's. So I did and it is better! I prefer just the original, no additions. Love hummus.
