Re: CHRISTMAS EVE and DAY...WHAT IS YOUR MENU? HELP!

@Chopsmom growing up and well into my adulthood, the deli Christmas Eve was our tradition too!  Just love it however as the family has moved further away it has become last practical for us.  Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve:  shrimp scampi

Christmas:  ham, green beans, cranberry sauce, butter pecan ice cream for dessert

An estimated 700,000 people around the world, 400,000 of them children, have died so far due to the discontinuation of the USAID program.

We're having ham, funeral potatoes, and cole slaw for Christmas Eve.  Christmas Day we're having shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, horseradish mashed potatoes, wedge salad, and a lemon cheesecake.

@RollTide2008, I smiled when I read your post.

We have the same tastes! YUM!

Re: CHRISTMAS EVE and DAY...WHAT IS YOUR MENU? HELP!

Christmas eve, I have fresh salmon to grill with asparagus and a fruit salad.

Christmas Day we will grill ribeyes since everyone wanted the outside of the rib roast!  We will also have twice baked potatoes, a very large salad with homemade Greek dressing, tomato pie with Italian tomatoes, Gruyere cheese, basil and oregano, and yeast rolls.

Dessert will be French Silk Pie drizzled with kahlua.

Re: CHRISTMAS EVE and DAY...WHAT IS YOUR MENU? HELP!

Well....Christmas Day meal didn't go as planned! Our well froze up Friday night, and we didn't have water until Monday afternoon. But we did go ahead and cook the ham, and had sandwiches from it. Half of the meat went into the freezer for another day.

We didn't want to dirty up a lot of dishes, since we weren't sure when we'd get our water back, so we kept meals very simple.  We were thankful that our power didn't go off, so we were warm!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

@Mz iMac   are you making cocktails for this weekend too?  What time should I arrive?  I’ll bring some appetizers!  Ok?
