CHOCOLATE PUDDING so good from scratch and easy...

During the shut down virus years, I noticed a lack of Jello Chocolate Pudding that is cooked, available in the local stores.

So I posted here and wondered if others were experiencing this also.

Someone here suggested I make it from scratch.

I thought about it and googed it.

Then I made it.

Well, that is what I have been doing ever since. So good, so simple. Also a good way to use milk that is close to experation date.

I was reminded about the poster who suggested that tonight when once again I made  it.

Too bad I cannot remember who suggested it.

But in case you are reading this and recognize my question, THANK YOU cause I took it for granted  that Jello invented it..lol

@Flatbush    Thank you for asking this question originally. The link is below.

@deepwaterdotter  Thank you for your grandma's recipe. It is so easy because it does not use eggs that need to be tempered.  I have made many of your recipes and I appreciate how many you have shared with everyone over the years.

Glad to read that you have had success with the recipes I have posted.  Wish I could take credit for their creation, but they come from many good cooks over the years.  I have never been shy to ask for a recipe when a dish piques my taste buds.

I know you will really like it. You can use any milk you have, non-fat, whole milk etc.

I understand you want to make it from scratch, but if you are making it from a mix, what's the difference between cooked and instant pudding?

@Tinkrbl44

If using the mixes, the cooked puddings have a creamy and silky quality to them. However, the instant is a quicker ( of course ) but not as deep a flavor. Both are good though.
