/>

This is hands-down one of my favorite <span class=Banana Bread recipes. I've been making it for years and it never disappoints.

The cream cheese really bumps the flavor and moistness over the top....and it's a super easy recipe too. I use the low fat cream cheese just about every time I make it and it comes out great.

I always use mini loaf pans these days since there's just 2 of us here so I can keep one out and tuck the rest into the freezer for another day.

This recipe is a keeper here, for sure.....hope you all enjoy it too,

Carol

BANANA CREAM CHEESE BREAD
(Source: gifts from your kitchen.com)

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. mashed banana (2-3 medium bananas)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour (1) 9x5-inch loaf pan or (4) 5x3-inch loaf pans; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and butter; beating until well mixed. Add bananas, vanilla and eggs; mix well.

Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to banana mixture, mixing just until moistened. Fold in nuts.
Spread batter in prepared pan(s). Bake @ 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes for the large loaf, 35-40 minutes for the small loaves, or until breads test done. Cool 10 minutes in the pan; remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 1 large or 4 mini loaves.
