Wow!  And I thought a got a great deal for asparagus at 1.99 a pound.  I would sure being heading back to that store to get more at 88 cents.  Love asparagus.Heart

I asked DH to pick up some at Costco this morning.  He came home with a 2.2-pound bag priced at $4.99.  It was grown in Mexico.  (Your area's Costco price might be different, because Costco uses suppliers that might differ from region to region.)

 

I've been reading so much lately about white asparagus and have never tried it.  Will look for it next time at the grocery store.  Has anyone here tried it and found that it is indeed "sweeter" than green asparagus?
