I came across a cute snack for the day, DH says he'll put it together for us.  The gold candy at the end are Rolos, I used them in a pot of gold theme last year.

I think it's cute for kids and adults.  Not to mention easy to put together.  We have a long line about St. Patrick's Day with recipes on Chat if you're interested.  My family is big into holidays so I usually have a reserve of recipes.

oh my gosh that is too cute (and delicious!)!! And how fun for kids!  I really love it and you can do all kinds of candies at the end as long as it has gold foil- gold coins chocolates, almond roca, Ferrero Rochero's hazelnut chocolter (some of my most favorite chocoltes ever!), etc.

I should have talked to you about this earlier!  Almond Rocca is DH's fave candy but I didn't think of that one, we haven't had it around for him in a long time.

On another thread you said you turned off your  Hearts  so I think you don't realize people are giving a lot of hearts to your posts and you're not being ignored. Imo posters aren't posting replies or quotes as much now that we can heart a post.

I agree with you. Sometimes I will "heart" someone instead of typing out a reply to their post or to a thread.

I like to read chickenbutt's posts when she posts, and she does indeed "get hearted." 

I thought that chickenbutt was aware that she was getting hearts from others.

       This is a really good point, @Toppers and @Juniebugz!  I don't know if @chickenbutt will even see this, because she has said she disabled the "heart" feature and also she said she wasn't a fan of the "@" notifications...  I'll bet she has no idea her posts are often acknowledged with many, many hearts and also that we give her frequent shout-outs with the "@" sign.  I hate that she -- or anyone -- feels ignored.

Well, if you unplug all your phones, I'm not going to feel too badly when you complain that no one called you on your birthday. 

It's absolutely fine to choose not to participate in the hearts or dislike notifications, but then you shouldn't feel left out or unnoticed if you're the one who opts out of the tools designed to help others engage with you.

Somewhere along the line, looking for St. Patrick's day decorations, I picked up what looks like a small black cauldron.  Last year I filled it with the rolos and put a little leprechaun next to it so it looked like he found the pot of gold.  It looked cute.

I can't wait to get to Michael's to see if anything is left for Easter
