I have to admit I have forgotten to go back to a thread I started ...but not often...sometimes I will remember it days later and go back to thank people who responded...
I have replied and tried to help people many many times and they don't come back...I don't take it personal...I guess I know what its like to forget ...

Adore,
First of all, I want to say thank you for all that you contribute to the boards -recipes, life stories, tips, etc. I am so sorry this bothers you and I hope I am not guilty myself; if I am, please know it was not intentional. Life is full of ups and downs and we never know when they are going to happen. Many times I am on the boards late at night or very early in the morning with intentions of returning more promptly and then-life happens. I hope that is what is going on with others and that no one has the intention of being rude. Please keep your chin up and just be the wonderful person you are, no matter what. ![]()
novamc,
I posted a question to you on the Soup thread and haven't had time to go back there for a bit-just wondering if you are ok-wasn't sure if you got caught up in that rain and flooding happening in the south. Good to see you posting, but hoping you and yours are safe and dry.

I've not been around lately because life has been incredibly busy.
Two trips to Georgia in one month, signing paperwork to buy a new home, getting a contract signed for the sale of present home, working with accountant on income taxes, working with American Express and our insurance company about damage done to a vehicle we rented in Georgia when something flew up off the highway (probably a loose tire retread from a big truck)...........haven't had much time to breathe until today.....literally!
Other than that, I'm just fine. Hope you are the same!

@novamc1 wrote:A lot of boats certainly float differently. Ever since I got criticized for posting a long string of slow-cooker recipes that someone felt had dominated the recipe forum for a brief time one day, I haven't bothered to post recipes at all.
Apparently, there can sometimes be "too many" recipes posted on the recipe forum. Heh...
I do enjoy reading those posted by others.
I remember that & it was ridiculous IMO.
OF COURSE the recipe forum is for recipes & I truly appreciated the slow cooker recipes you posted.
Someone wanted all slow cooker recipes in one post, all rice cooker recipes in one post etc etc.
Well, it doesn't usually work like that. When you run into a good recipe, you post it.
I was very happy to see: "Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken" (or whatever) come up.
Please don't let one or two negative posters keep you away, the rest of us appreciate your efforts (& I made several of those recipes!!!).

@chickenbutt wrote:It used to bother me, but I had to just stop letting it. I am ignored a lot, as I'm not in any group or not a chit-stirrer. That's fine. But one just needs to not let it get to them. Bigger fish to fry, eh?
On another thread you said you turned off your Hearts so I think you don't realize people are giving a lot of hearts to your posts and you're not being ignored. Imo posters aren't posting replies or quotes as much now that we can heart a post. ![]()

Doesn't bother me really..If I post and ask a question, I try and respond, but Zi sometimes don't get back here with time to ois...Inread the replies..My ego is ok with putting something out there and not hearing back..
I love to get feedback, and give it, but to make a post just to let someone know that I appreciate their responding to me seems excessive and sort of obsequieous...I really doubt that other board participants are out there, hanging on my every word, and waiting for my words of acceptance..
Lets face it, in the grand scheme of things..I'm really not all that significant...

How do you know whether (or not) the person who asked the question does not return to read the answers?

I'm just happy that you are safe. Wasn't for sure where you are in the South -you may have even told me but that footage I saw of the flooding broke my heart, then it occured to me that I had not "heard" anything from you lately. Was praying you were not having to deal with that. Glad things are working out for you!
Sorry adore,
Didn't mean to hijack your thread. Hope you and Phillip have a wonderful weekend planned and that you are blessed with good weather to boot!

No need to ever apologize, and you my dear friend are always welcomed, on all my threads.
Also wishing you wonderful sunny weather, and a lovely weekend.
God Bless....
