Re: Andes Mints Salad

[ Edited ]

If it's a sweet Jell-o based salad, it could be this one with chopped Andes Mints added as a garnish.

BUTTER MINT LIME SALAD

2 (13 1/2 oz.) cans crushed pineapple

1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello

1 (10 1/2 oz.) pkg. mini marshmallows

1 sm. pkg. butter mints, coarsely crushed

1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip

1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix together pineapple, Jello and marshmallows and let stand overnight or until solid. Fold together the mints, Cool Whip and nuts. Stir well into first mixture. Put into freezer for 2 hours. If cooled in flat pan, cut in squares and serve on lettuce leaves.

I have a feeling when the OP said "green salad" she didn't mean with greens, but perhaps some type of molded or coolwhip  based side dish that was green in color....

Sounds like a basket ingredient I'd see on "Chopped," used to through the chefs off balance.

The color of the salad is green.  I am sure it has cool whip as an ingredient.
