I remember making a beef stroganoff dish with A1 when I was first married.  For someone who was new to cooking, it was a big deal for me to make such a meal!  

it was good.  Not sure I'd like it today.

NO sauce on steak!  Never ever.  I am a purist and always inquire at a restaurant about "You aren't gonna put something on it are you?  Sauce.  Herbs?" Woman Embarassed

@ChiliPepper  yes!   We use to put chips on bologna growing up.  When my kids were little I did that and they thought it was gross but they soon started doing it!  Lol

I'm guessing this may be an impossible request, but I'll ask anyway ...... 

 

I know A-1 sauce, but how does it differ from Heinz 57...  and what do you put Heinz 57 on?

I do not use either sauces but my husband always did.  I have now and then used Heinz 57 on a steak but just a few bites and not the whole steak.  My husband always made whatever he was eating look good and could not resist trying.  When I have steak I just like the steak with nothing fancy on it.

 

i just went through my condiments in fridge and tossed those he used and that I will not use.  He just recently passed and no point in keeping.
