upgraded shipping

Does anyone out there use the upgraded shipping on a regular basis? The post office has lost two packages from QVC after it was transferred there from UPS. QVC gave me a replacement and then the second time a refund because the item is no longer available. I am considering using the more expensive shipping because UPS is great in my area. Anyone have a similar experience with the "better" shipping they'd like to share?
