Most Q hosts and brand experts refer to clothing, home decor, and now food as "telling your story" when discussing products .... is this a new concept in selling?

New buzz words are always at the forefront @ QVC...."colorways", "PS and"....and now this.

The vernacular is always changing, or, depending on the host, the words are completely made up. The one that drives me up the wall is referring to a handbag as "she".

When I started hearing the word YOUR STORY on QVC when describing a product, I wasn't getting the whole concept...I still don't get it.
