Re: cancellations letter from QVC

@Sooner   The colors that were now magically available the next day are probably because a whole group of people cancelled their orders.

So, QVC  lost out on sales of those items. But, maybe someone bought another color wasn't their first choice...now that their favorite color is back...by magic, that person either cancels their order to reorder their favorite color...or maybe they now will return their second choice and order their first choice if it was, already sent out.

confused?  Someone's cancellation could snowball into a whole lot of problems with inventory.

If QVC's shows and clothing doesn't fit and size aren't  consistant, why do you keep ordering?

I don't get it.

You may be thinking of the 'Lemon Law' which mainly, but not exclusively, applies to vehicles, more info here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_law

The 3 day cancellation applies to contracts for products and services.

It doesn't apply to placing orders on-line.  Many companies don't allow cancellations at all.

Re: cancellations letter from QVC

@Pook @mosky, I couldn't agree more.  Same with those who receive a too many returns letter.

No one, least of all a show host, pressures me into buying something.  I either want it or I don't.  I don't rely on reviews because they are nothing more than someone's opinion and my opinion might be different.  I love things people hate and vice versa.

There isn't anything QVC sells that I have to run to the phone to order.  If it sells out, it sells out. Something else will come along, I'll find the item elsewhere or it will come back in stock.

There are posters who continually cancel and aren't shy about saying so on these forums.  Then if the cancellation doesn't go through and the item is shipped, they are complaining and expect to be able to return the item for free.  And on and on it goes.

I keep buying because for me going to the store is sometimes hard. I have R.A. and is it is hard to stand, walk some days. going to the mall has now become a bit of a chore. First the drive and traffic and then the walking and parking. I order a lot online. I am cutting back from qvc because i have found better things and deals at stores such as nordstrom, amazon ect. QVC makes buying an item on easypay very tempting and easy, but i am seeing a lack of quality for what the prices are.

@nomar That 3 day cancellation rule doesn't apply to purchases made online or by phone as I understand it.

So true @CrazyDaisy!  It's either the policy or it's not.

Re: cancellations letter from QVC

@bibes  QVC has been keeping track of cancelations and returns for years. Letters have been sent if too many of either occur. It's not a recent policy at all. Make your decisions wisely; read the reviews (if they can be believed). It's apparently a long-standing company policy.

If you really believe that,I feel very sorry for you!!!

The privlege is the ability to cancel or return merchandise.  Many sites do not have the same policy.

@CrazyDaisyBUT, this one does....if they do not want theri customers using those options, then they need to be more authoritarian and remove that option of cancelling or returning merchandise.  One they end those options, I end shopping at QVC!

No one is stopping you from cancelling or returning items, period.  However when someone abuses that poilcy the store has the option of preventing you from making future purchases.  Why should the company change the poilcy for everyone when only a few are abusing it?  I would have to question why anyone would want to continue ordering if they are not happy with the purchases.

@CrazyDaisy  "No one is stopping you from cancelling or returning items, period.  However...." "I would have to question why anyone would want to continue ordering if they are not happy with the purchases."  However? And who are you to be questioning other peoples reason for purchasing, we are able to purchase as we each see fit!  If the company offers the option of cancelling/returning items, then we as purchasers are able to take advantage of that option!

@Carmie  Well, I guess beause I am impulsive, can't make up my mind about anything, have zero self control and just order anything I see, am too stupid to order something without doing research to see it if really does what it says it does or that it is the real size they said it is, and just plain old stupid and dumb.

At least that's what I have learned from your post and a few others.  Thanks because now I know the source of all problems with QVC.  Me.

Maybe I can serve as an example to all other confused buyers!
