You must RE REGISTER TO POST

ANYONE UNABLE TO POST looks like you have to reregister under a new nickname with this new forum.

That's the way it went for me, too.   The first time in the new board I had to confirm and that was it.

If anybody is having problems getting in, there is an email address where you can contact the board people.  I'm sorry that I don't know it.  I saw it posted in another thread earlier.  Maybe somebody will come into this thread with that information.   The mods have been very helpful since the inception of the new board.  Smiley Happy

Re: You must RE REGISTER TO POST

it wouldn't let me use prior nickname.  I had to pick a new one.  I reported it.

This is all I had to do.

When they announced they were revamping the board and you needed a working email, I knew my original email was no longer valid.  I changed it to a new email and had no problem signing in under my board name.

Re: You must RE REGISTER TO POST

I post from different computers.  I had no trouble posting from my work desktop, where I do 75% of my posting.  But I cannot post from my Kindle or my laptop.  I tried to re-register but I can't because it tells me that email address is already registered.  Which is it.....with me.  So, now it appears that if I want to post when I'm home, I'll have to register with another email address.  Which means, I'll also have another nickname.  There will be two of me....   I hope I don't start fighting with myself...lol

Have you tried just signing in, as though nothing changed, with your regular sign in?

I use ONLY laptops and I've been using two of mine here this week (one upstairs in my office and my living room one) without having to re-register.

Anyway, maybe it's something they are still ironing out, especially with the mobile devices (iPad, etc).

Re: You must RE REGISTER TO POST

I logged in the first day of the new forum with my usual email address and the only thing I was asked to do was re-enter the address for verification.  I then received an email with a link to click to validate the email address.  Nothing else, and I still have the same nickname and same account.

I'm thinking some people using IE as their browser (which isn't playing nicely with the new website), or perhaps having older versions of the browser or operating system, or those using various browser addons/extensions, or even needing to clear cache, cookies, website data and relaunching the browser might have caused them problems with their first login after the transition to this new platform.  Not sure, though...  just a guess, trying to figure out why we see different things in the sign-in process.
