There are thousands of reviews on Amazon for that brand.

Yes, they last a long time.  Saves wear and tear on the shredder for items that just need small amounts of concealing.

Re: ❓Works as advertised❓

@Mz iMac - I am currently using the final roller from a set of three I purchased a long time ago—in fact, I just checked my records, and I bought the set in July 2013. Obviously, I can't speak to any ongoing quality or lack thereof, but as I come up on 11 years of use for these rollers, I'd have to say they last quite nicely.

As for coverage on prescription labels, I've found that to be more of a pain than it's worth. My process now is to peel away the bits of the label that have truly personal details, wad them up in a tissue, and throw them in with my regular trash. If someone cares enough to dig through the ick and figure that out, more power to them.  Smiley Very Happy

I've often contemplated buying these. Good to know they do work as described. Those doggone prescription labels cannot always be peeled off.

I use it on prescription bottles, and on the receipts for the scripts. Getting the bottles done might take some practice. I swipe the top of the bottle, and that covers my personal info. It does take a couple of seconds to dry, but then its great.

Re: ❓Works as advertised❓

@geezerette, I do the same as you. First pass horizontally, wait a minute for it to dry the second pass vertically. I have had luck with some shiny labels, but some packing tape is a problem.

I also shred a lot, but don't want anything with adhesive going through my shredder.

I find the type I have, not the set the OP is interested in, do last a long time. When it finally shows signs of reaching its end, I shake it several times and seem to get a few more uses out of it.

I've seen this product on Q for many years.  Yet, not 1 review!!confused.gif

If anybody ever purchased, does it really work?  How long do they last before the ink dries up?

I use these all the time.   They last forever and I love them.

Re: ❓Works as advertised❓

I purchsed a set of 3 from HSN years ago. (ours was a basic roller, no opener. Cost less)  We are on our last roller.  Works great.  One swipe and it hides your important info. We will be getting another set when the last one is done.

Re: ❓Works as advertised❓

I have used one for a long time, and it still works fine. I also have a shredder for big jobs, like old checks with a former address, or multiple pages like old tax returns. It would take up too much ink to use the marker.
