I do believe it's the wine glass that makes some people think that the Hosts are drinking wine. Maybe they should use a coffee mug and pretent they are drinking wine.

Does anyone really think that QVC would want to take the responsibility if one of the Host fell off a chair while drinking "wine"? I don't think so. It's just common sense.

Why watch if it bothers you? I've never seen it because i don't watch QVC. I buy a lot though.

I could say something about that show (Today). Someone I know is responsible for pouring the "wine". Yea, that's funny.

@Sage04  Not only a host falling off a chair, but a host in a car accident on the way home from the job injuring themselves or someone else. Who would be responsible when they said my job made me drink? They are definitely not drinking alcohol on air. It is all pretend and look how many fell for it!

@proudlyfromNJ   PERFECT!!!! You are so correct. Just like a bartender would be held responsible, so would QVC.

Some Posters who think they are drinking wine, aren't thinking about the consequences.

I realize that they are not really drinking alcohol on the air.  I just don't see the necessity of constantly having a wine glass or a cocktail as a prop!  Whether people want to admit it or not drinking is a problem in society.

I don't care. Q might get more interesting if it was real wine instead of NA or juice.

Even if it isn’t real, it gives the message it’s ok to drink at work. Many people are in recovery and it could act as trigger. For me, I just find it annoying and unnecessary to stand there with a wine glass in his/her hand.

I watched Amy/Alberti yesterday for 2o minutes with their wine glasses. Really, I do think that they had had quite a bit of wine or something.  There were too many minutes of pauses, eye popping, pondering, mistakes.  I was waiting to see them revert back but this was not playful interaction at all ( that is fine)  They were both "off their game" for at least 20 minutes. Too sad to watch.

Most of us, I imagine, don't look to QVC hosts to tell us when (and when we may not) consume alcohol.

This topic becomes more hysterical each time it pops up, which is frequently.

Enem in not drinking real wine (which is childish) the way they pretend is suggesting it's cool.  I say make your own decision but they do use as a sales tactic.
